James Koan III is a singer/songwriter and musician incorporating lyrical poetry combined with rock, pop-punk melodies, and folk-influenced sonic soundscapes, with an indie-rock edge pulling influences from artists such as Switchfoot, Relient K, The Beatles, Colony House, and The Beach Boys. Formerly from Phoenix, Arizona, He is currently residing in Columbus, GA. His lyrical themes include dealing with loneliness, joy, finding his place in the world, and recognizing the beauty and wonder of the creator of the universe. On March 12, 2021, He released his first single, Neanderthals, a punchy, pop-punk cut that speaks to social anxiety and isolation and the process of overcoming it. On July 23rd, 2021, he released his sophomore single, "You Are There", an acoustic rock ballad inspired by psalms. He released his 3rd and newest upbeat single, "The Radiance", on November 19th, 2021.
